Bimal Jee
Nice thoughts. Let me put forward my thoughts on this. Basically, the problem is not only on politicians. Politics naturally is selfish business where you are concerned over your own benefits and nation is just a playground. In my opinion, the problem lies in our general thoughts and our ability to analyze and process the situation and general decision making. This whole process is linked to our "intellectual capacity" which is rooted in our education. I think Nepal is doing well in regards to making decisions. You can follow revolution from 2007, 2015,2017,2036, 2046 and the recent one. In all these, one common thing I noticed is that people's ideas have been growing and their aspirations have come quite high in connection to how the country should be governed. The sad part is almost half of the country is still "illiterate" - meaning cannot read and/or write. The intellectual capacity is not yet known which is the principal force behind making right decisions based on analyzed situation. The government's focus of educaiton have been to make people read and write. Once we achive this, the we will be talking about real education - the true meaning of studying - i.e. enable people to make right choices. That phase will only empower people to make right choices and stand up for rights as individuals not as "group of partymen". This will make politics accountabel to people. We have a long way to go for Nepal to be inhabitants of "majority of educated people". Right now, educated people are putting "literates and illiterates" into delusion of grandiose and the country is following the path of "few's great ideas" and common Nepali have no capacity to question such ideas. This barrier will go away as society progresses and its only the matter of time that some achieve that sooner while some take centuries and we are in second category.

Agreed with BS. However, never before we had separatist activity in Nepal.

I now believe more than before that most of the NC leaders are RAW agent and there is competition to be top agent within party than to be top nationalist.

Madhes andolan was architected and proposed by RAW as part of mission Sikkim and supported by NC. Part of the mission most of the NC politician specially hardcore supporter of Koirala from Tarai join Tarai party deserting NC and Koirala (something impossible happen here). It was bit of surprised for everyone at that time but those who had common sense immediately realised that time that it was no other than RAW+Koirala+NC conspiracy. We now can see the result. How criminal can be one when issue is losing power and money.

Only solution to this is to boot these criminal thugs from politics, and that will only happen if people are educated and can think their own without help from others. That will not come at least for another decade.

I agreed with BS that lack of education is main problem as people are easily brain washed by these agents.

Unfortunately, few educated people that country has also seem to be interested on this lucrative business than highlighting this sensitive national issue.

For many leaders and party men, country come second in priority and pocket come first.

Saathi, jaat bhat ko pachadi pani education nai cha. When the people become educated then it will automatically vanish to some extent. A little bhedbhawo ta jaha pani huncha. Everywhere there is some discriminations only the type/form is different.Even in the most developed country, america, you see the black and white discriminations. White people don't usually marry blacks and blacks don't usually marry white. Black and white conflict is there since the very early times -but still the country has developed so much. Now both Black and white can proudly say that they are Americans and enjoy the benefits of being a citizen of a developed country. But bihwaha lai matrai behdbhawo ko kasauti ko rup ma lina mildaina. In usa,we can see that the next president might be an african american. So as long as all the casts get equal opportunity and equal rights as a citizen of a country we can't tell it is unfair if a Bahun doesn't want to marry Gurung. Bahuns also can complain that why only Gurungs,Chettris,Magars,Rais and Limbus are recruited in the British army and Indian Army. Even in the Nepali army,Gurungs,Magars or Chettris are preferred to Bahuns. So the problem is not whether a person of one cast wants or doesn't want to marry the person of another cast - the problem is whether all the casts are given equal opportunity in all the sectors or not. There was a Gurung boy who was topper in my College and I felt proud to be near him. Some discrimination will always be there and thats not bad as long as all have equal rights to choose and all have equal rights as a citizen. Infact I think that there should be some discrimination which will increase the competition for development. We should take things positively. In today's world we can't make any pretext for being unsuccessful. We nepalis have the habit of making a lot of excuses. Our players can't get any medal in Olympic because they say they don't have enough resources; there are lots of poor African athletes who have made it big in international games. Even the recent Olympic bronze medal winning boxer of India,Vijender Singh, is the son of a poor driver. He could complain that he didn't have money for diets and enough resources for training or may be he could say that he had to face racial discriminations so he couldn’t perform well incase he had failed. But no, he proved that even if a person is poor he can do good if his dedication and will is strong enough. We nepalis have become bhatay! So we nepalis can develop only when we become educated and we stop making excuses for being unsuccessful. What we need in Nepal from the beginning is political stability. No ism can develop a country. It is not ism that develops the country,it is the right person in power who develops the country. If one person can't do good when he is in power then he should be replaced immediately. If Girija can't do, we should try Prachanda, if Prachanda can't do , we should try somebody else. Somebody rightly said, Politicians are like diapers so we should keep on changing them.We should not stick to favouring one political party even if it is doing no good to the development of the country. We should not judge a leader by his party, we should judge a leader by himself. Britain is a monarchy to some extent still it has developed and USA is a republic and still it has developed, but we nepalis couldn't develop when we were monarchy, we couldn't develop when we were democracy now we are Republic and its time to see whether we will develop or not. We nepalis have become beggar in the international society. India has cut the supply of fuels and we can't do anything but to beg india to increase the supply. No matter who is the prime minister, who is the commander of Nepal army, who is the President, collectively we all nepalis are beggars. We are only sustaining ourselves on the foreign aid and foreign helps. We have to beg to international donors to repair a broken dam, we have to beg to international donors to feed a person in Jumla to build a hospital in Mugu. We have all become beggars, the country of Amar Singh Thapa & Bhakti Thapa have become a beggar. Sorry Amar Singh U died for nepal and now Girija, Makune,Ranas & Monarch have made your country a beggar. Most of the doctors in New york are Indians, most of the top management in Middle East are Keralites, most of the labourers and housemaids in Middle east are Nepalis. Earlier Nepalis were known for Bravery, the connotation of Gurkha was a soldier but now Gurkha connotes Labourers. People in India think Bahadur means Gate keeper. What is the cause of this situation? In kerala, literacy is 99%, how much is the literacy in Nepal? Still we don't value the importance of education! Let the Everest melt if it can be used to irrigate a land to feed a dying child. Nepal is not everest, nepal is not a land, nepal is a thought,a progressive idea, nepal is sacrifice of few and begging bowl of many. Some beg in the name of cast, some beg in the name of religion, some beg in the name of political ideology, some beg in the name of gender. When the world is making technological and industrial inventions we are making inventions of new ways to beg!

We were not conquered by British India, but that doesn’t matter now. No need to boast that British couldn’t conquer us. We sometimes boast that Indians were slaves of British but we were not. But now Indians are free and powerful(they are atomic power) and we are present in all the developed countries to wash the dirty dishes; of British, of Koreans, of Japanese, of Arabs, of Indians and all.

To update this posting. i am rewriting again some good stuff that i am feeling ..

IT seems positive to me that the Govt. is sorting out the alcohol abundancy.. its really positve to me as it gives sense of standard approach..(age barrier, time, location (only available on off licenesed)) lets see how far it gets ruled out...

Definitely these actions are worth enough to my eyes for hats to be off...
There was a blind boy, He Hated Every One Except his GF, He said "i will marry u when i could c u",Eventually someone donated eyes to him,When he could c!he was shocked to c that his GF is also blind, D girl asked Will u marry me now? He refused, The girl went away forever sayin
