Recommended Posts

Dear Friends !

What do you think about English Oldies (songs)? Me, I mostly used to hear an English Oldies of 60's, 70's and 80's. My favorite century singers are Bob Marley (Buffalo Soldier fame), Del Shanon (Little Town Flirt fame), Ben E. King (Stand By Me fame), Billy Ocean (Emotions in Motion fame), Christie (Iron Horse fame), Jerry Lee Lewis (Good Golly Miss Molly fame), Jimmy Dean (Big Bad John fame), Ronnie Carroll (Roses are Red fame) and Groups like.....Carpenters, Beatles, The Shirelles, Glitter Band, The Fortunes, The Archies, The Equals, The Chiffons, etc.....!

Guys, did you know about these Singers and Bands (Groups)? There are many heart touching songs sung by these Singers and Groups. If you are interested to listening oldies then try to collect them and hear.

Here, I am going to post a famous song which was sung by Beatles and I sure, you all know this song...maybe hai !

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.

Take a sad song and make it better.

Remember to let her into your heart,

Then you can start to make it better.

Hey Jude, don't be afraid.

You were made to go out and get her.

The minute you let her under your skin,

Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain,

Don't carry the world upon your shoulders.

For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool

By making his world a little colder.

Hey Jude, don't let me down.

You have found her, now go and get her.

Remember to let her into your heart,

Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin,

You're waiting for someone to perform with.

And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do,

The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.

Take a sad song and make it better.

Remember to let her under your skin,

Then you'll begin to make it

Better better better better better better, oh.

Da da da da da da, da da da, hey Jude...

Bob Marley (Buffalo Soldier fame)

Bob Marley is my favorate singer. I love very much the song, Buffalo Soldier In The Heart Of America and I think, Bob Marley was the first singer who introduced Reggae music in this world. If I am not wrong, he was the Reggae King.

I too love to hear oldies. Mostly, I like to hear BRYAN ADAMS.

Here is one song by BRYAN ADAMS. Song is, Everything I Do, I Do It For You

Look into my eyes - you will see

What you mean to me

Search your heart - search your soul

And when you find me there you'll search no more

Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for

You can't tell me it's not worth dyin' for

You know it's true

Everything I do - I do it for you

Look into my heart - you will find

There's nothin' there to hide

Take me as I am - take my life

I would give it all I would sacrifice

Don't tell me it's not worth fightin' for

I can't help it there's nothin' I want more

You know it's true

Everything I do - I do it for you

There's no love - like your love

And no other - could give more love

There's nowhere - unless you're there

All the time - all the way

Don't tell me it's not worth tryin' for

I can't help it there's nothin' I want more

I would fight for you - I'd lie for you

Walk the wire for you - You I'd die for you

You know it's true

Everything I do - I do it for you

My favourite one.....Oh Carol by Neil Sedaka.

Oh Carol, I am but a fool.

Darling, I love you,

Tho' you treat me cruel.

You hurt me and you made me cry.

But if you leave me.

I will surely die.

Darling, there will never be

another.

'Cause I love you so.

Don't ever leave me,

say you'll never go.

I will always want you for my

sweetheart.

No matter what you do.

Oh! carol,

I'm so in love with you.

Music .Hu.................

Darling, there will never be

another.

'Cause I love you so.

Don't ever leave me,

say you'll never go.

I will always want you for my

sweetheart.

No matter what you do.

Oh! carol,

I'm so in love with you.

and....one more....My best of the BEST... American Pie by Don Mc Lean.

A long long time ago

I can still remember how that music used to make me

smile

And I knew if I had my chance

that I could make those people dance

and maybe they'd be happy for a while

But February made me shiver with every paper I'd

daliver

Bad news on the doorstap

I couldn't take one more step

I can't remember if I cried when I read about his

widowed bride

Something touched me deep inside the day the music

died.

**

So bye bye Miss American pie

Drove my Chevy to the levee but the levee was dry

Them good ole boys were drinkin' whisky ane rye

singin' this'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

This'll be the day that I die

Did you write the book of love and

do you have faith in God above?

If the Bible tells you so

Now do you believe in rook and roll

can Music save your mortal soul and

can you teach me how to dance real slow?

Well I know that you're in love with him

cause I saw you dancin' in the gym

You both kicked off your shose

Man, I dig those rhythm and bluses

I was a lonely teenage broncin's buck

with a pink carnation and a pickup truck

But I knew I was out of luck the day the music died.

I started singing bye bye

**Repeat

Now for ten years we've been on our own

and moss grows fat on a rollin's stone

But that's not how it used to be

When the Jester sang for the king and Queen in a coat

He Borrowned from James Dean and a voice that came

from you and me

Oh, and while the king was looking down the Jester

stole his thorny crown

The courtroom was adjourned, no verdict was returned

And while Lennin read a book on Marx

the coart took practice in the park and we SONG

dirties in the dark

the day the music died. We were singin's bye bye **

(Repeat)

Helter-skelter in the summer sweiter

the birds flew off with a fall-out shelter

Eight miles high and fallin's fast, it landed foul on

the gress

the players tried for a forware pass,

with the Jester on the sidelines in a coat

Now the half-time air was sweet paerfume

While the sergeants played a marching tune

We all got up to dance but we never got the chance

Cause the players tried to take the field,

the marching band refused to yield

Do you recall what was revealed the day the music died

We started singin's bye bye

**Repeat

In there we were all in one place,

A generation lost in space with no time left to start

again

So come on, Jack be nimble, Jack be quick

Jack sat on a candlestick cause fire is the devils

only friend

(Oh) as I watched him on the stage,

my hands were clenched in festive rage

No angel born in heaven could break that stan's spell

And as the flames climbed high into the night

the sacrificial rite I saw satan

Laughing with delight the day the music died.

He was singin's bye bye

**Repeat

I met girl who sang the blues and I asked her for

some happy news

but the just smiled and turned away I went down to

the sacred store

where I heard the music years before

But the man there said the music wouldn't play

The lovers cried and the posts dreamed

(But) Not a word was spoken, the church bells all

were broken

And he three man I admire most the Father,

Son an the holy Ghost

They caught the last train for the coast

The day the music died.

And they were singin' bye bye

** Repeat

I too crazy for oldies. Ok, here is one old English song from my side.

Dark Moor

Song's name is: Somewhere In Dreams

Through the old valley of golden trees

In the land of elves

A young boy hated the line that destiny

Wrote out on his race

He sighed for the fire

He sighed for the wind

And the rain on the face

Far away from kingdom lit by the blaze

Lost in a strange place

Somewhere in dreams there is a way

Vast towers and gardens

Somewhere in dreams there is a bay

Full of fantasy

Dragons in my dreams

Look for the glory

In the time΄s stream

I just can flee

Dragons in my dreams

Tell us the story

Where the sunset beams

I will be free

And he woke one morning in elves΄ land

His heart was in chains

And the king of the elves couldn΄t understand

Believed him insane

But every night his soul wished to race

Through the seven seas

Watching the stars in the deep space

Out of his agony

In the white land of dreams there is a way

High mountain and forests

Words on the wind that sweetly say

Full of fantasy

Dragons in my dreams

Look for the glory

In the time΄s stream

I just can flee

Dragons in my dreams

Tell us the story

Where the sunset beams

I will be free

Dear Friends !

What do you think about English Oldies (songs)? Me, I mostly used to hear an English Oldies of 60's, 70's and 80's. My favorite century singers are Bob Marley (Buffalo Soldier fame)

Dada,

I too very big fan of Bob Marley. The song 'Buffalo Soldier' is ever great hit song which targets the realstick, no doubt.

But I like Bob Marley's this song: SO MUCH TROUBLE IN THE WORLD

So much trouble in the world

So much trouble in the world

Bless my eyes this morning

Jah sun is on the rise once again

The way earthly things are going

Anything can happen

You see men sailing on their ego trips

Blast off on their spaceship

Million miles from reality

No care for you, no care for me

So much trouble in the world now

So much trouble in the world now

All you got to do is give a little

Give a little, give a little

one more time ye-a-h! ye-a-h!

So you think you have found the solution

But it's just another illusion

So before you check out your tide

Don't leave another cornerstone

Standing there behind

We've got to face the day

Ooh we come what we may

We the street people talking

We the people struggling

Now they are sitting on a time bomb

Now I know the time has come

What goes on up is coming on down

Goes around and comes around

So much trouble in the world

So much trouble in the world

So much trouble in the world

There is so much trouble

There is so much trouble

There is so much trouble

There is so much trouble in the world

There is so much trouble in the world.

How abt this 1 sir biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

Fade To Black

Life it seems, will fade away

Drifting further every day

Getting lost within myself

Nothing matters no one else

I have lost the will to live

Simply nothing more to give

There is nothing more for me

Need the end to set me free

Things are not what they used to be

Missing one inside of me

Deathly lost, this can't be real

Cannot stand this hell I feel

Emptiness is filing me

To the point of agony

Growing darkness taking dawn

I was me, but now He's gone

No one but me can save myself, but it to late

Now I can't think, think why I should even try

Yesterday seems as though it never existed

Death Greets me warm, now I will just say good-bye wink.gifwink.gifwink.gif
