This is the place where rocks melt into sand,
And the bitch wind blows it into your face.
For minutes visibility is zero,
For days you eat dust
And for months dust will eat you.
I stay in a lonely tower,
Neither birds sing nor do rains shower.
There goes another twister again,
Round and round with desert sand
As even Hell friezes over in this no mans land.
Ups and downs with so many bends,
Dusty roads that never end,
And empty sky that reflects virgin lands.
So many pains with no gain,
But still the war remains.
In the city, silent nights leave only watchful eyes awake,
And I stay here as they sit only meters ahead.
Evil roars as the war begins,
Peace is dead or whatever that means,
What dreadful atrocity, all my awakening dreams. ...
