BS 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2004 click here for original source of this information INVITATION FOR ENROLLMENT IN PARTNERSHIP ROSTER WWF, the global conservation organization, has been involved in Biodiversity Conservation in Nepal since 1967 focusing on programs that link conservation with sustainable livelihoods, and building capacities of government and non-government partners. In its effort to enhance its outreach and effectiveness, WWF Nepal Program has been fostering partnerships with a wide array of institutions and organizations in Nepal. WWF Nepal Program in order to further enhance its capacity to deliver conservation seeks interest of qualified Nepali individuals and non-profit organizations to enroll in its “Partnership Roster” (first developed in 2003). The Roster of individuals/organizations so developed shall be used by WWF Nepal Program, in future years, to select its Service Provider/Consultant and Grantee. Qualified organizations enrolled in this Roster may also serve as implementing partners with some of WWF Nepal’s programs/projects. Interested individuals and organizations are invited to send their curriculum vitae (along with a copy of citizenship certificate) and organizational profile (along with valid registration certificate from appropriate authority in Nepal) respectively for inclusion in the Roster. The areas of expertise/ interest we seek are: SN. Area of expertise/interest Agro-forestry and Horticulture Alternate Energy and Appropriate Technologies. Biodiversity Conservation Climate Change (CDM, Glaciology) Certification (Forests, NTFPs/MAPs) Communication Conflict and Risk Analysis and Management. Conservation/Environment education Ecology Ecotourism EIA/SEA Ethno-botany (NTFP/MAP) Enterprise/Business Development/Marketing Environmental Economics Forestry Gender GIS/RS Spatial data modeling and analysis Indigenous knowledge Large Program Development, Strategic ,Management & Business Planning Livelihoods Monitoring, Evaluation and organizational learning. Natural Resource Management Policy and Legal Issues(forestry, wildlife NTFPs, climate change, pollution, environment management, trans-boundary issues, international conventions and treaties) Pollutants &Toxics and Waste Management Socio-economics (including Demographics, Migration etc) Wetlands/Freshwater Wildlife Biology and Management Taxation Duly filled up “Standard Roster Form” must be submitted along with the letter of interest to enroll by 7th October, 2004 at roster@wwfnepal.org. The forms can be downloaded from the following links Standard Roster Form for Individuals Standard Roster Form for Organizations Alternatively it may be submitted at the following address in an envelope clearly marked “Letter of interest for the Roster”. The Standard Roster Form can also be obtained from our office from 9 AM to 5 AM on week days. Individuals are requested to clearly state a maximum of three areas of expertise/interest on the form while institutions/organizations may list up to a maximum of five areas.
