  1. Hi all, I have a pair of cisco 3640 routers at IOS 12.3 that supports ssh transport. I want to get away from telnet and authenticate over ssh. I have lines 0 - 4 available for terminal useage. I updated to above IOS and the command exists to transport input ssh under the config -line mode but it will not connect using ssh. I also followed with the login command. When told to use ssh my telnet capability goes away as well. Luckily it does not kill the second open session I programmed the router using. I am not a cisco newbie but this one has me baffled. Any thoughts? Serious thoughts appreciated. Alex
