The Livelihoods and Forestry Programme (LFP), a bilateral aid programme of HMGN and the Department for International Development (DFID)-UK invites qualified Nepali citizens to apply for the following post based in the LFP-Terai Regional Support Office in Butwal, Rupandehi, but with regular travel to the other neighbouring LFP-Terai supported districts.

Information Officer

LFP seeks an exceptional person with experience developing and managing information systems, including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), to work as Information Officer (IO).

The central role of the IO is to assist programme partners to develop functional information management systems relating to a broad range of forest types, institutional arrangements for forest management and programme activities. The IO will be part of a multidisciplinary team working with a range of government and non-government partners. This is a mid-level position within LFP and the successful candidate will be given significant responsibility and delegated authority.

The following qualifications are required:

- Masters degree in forestry with remote sensing and GIS, or computer sciences with database and GIS.
