Hi Maun bro!

even though we (nepali from myanmar) were not born in nepal,
we have nepali socity that kept all our culture and religion. Every year
we celebrate Dashai and Deepawali with great.

Now I am running for master degree in computer science. And sharing my time
in developing my own website for wnso myanmar.

you can check out more there later. But I haven't give any info to wnso admin and
responsible person about this.

Wow this is even more exciting ... Non-Nepal born Nepali ... it all sounds like a fairy tale to me. Good luck with your study and wnso Myanmar project. And do post lotsa info' on mini-Nepal in Myanmar.

Some info of mini Nepal in Myanmar

no of nepali : over 300000

location : most nepali are living northen part (Kachin state) and eastern part
(Shan state)

mini kathamandu in myanmar : Mogok (ruby land)

no of nepali school : over 1000 of whole country

festival : celebrate all nepalese cultural festival

oldest temple : Ram Chandra temple (founded in 1894)

famous nepali : 1. Sukh Bahadur Rai (won national hightest military prize( AungSan
Suriya prize) which was given only to Saheed(Martrys) in 1949. There are only seven perosons who won this prize upto now.

no of nepali : over 300000

mini kathamandu in myanmar : Mogok (ruby land) (live 50000)

no of nepali school : over 1000 in whole country

course offer : from kacha 1 to kacha 10 (the courses were written by Pandit Thakur Prasad Guragai who won the national literatural prize from nepal in 1997)

certificate : Diploma in Nepali Literature ( course was taken from nepal for this certificate)

no of Sankrit school : 3

founder of Snakrit shcool : D.R Sharma

festival : celebrate all nepalese cultural festival (espically teejh , tihar and deepawali with greate in nation wide)
Ram Navami festival at Lokhu Sankrit Patashala
Shiva Ratri in Sankhai Shiva Dham

main student organization : All Myanmar Nepali(Gorkha) University Students(NGUS)
Family. I had been a general secretary from 2000 Sep to 2002 Sep. It has 6 branch.
NGUS Family(Mandalay Universities branch)
NGUS Family(Yangon Universities branch)
NGUS Family(Taunggyi Universities branch)
NGUS Family(Myitkyina Universities branch)
NGUS Family(Lashio Degree Colleges branch)
NGUS Family(Kalay Degree Colleges branch)
Under Students' Stippend board, NGUS Family work together in publishing nepalese calendar and distributing every year. and then take the management of
Chandra Hostel and AttarSingh Hostel which were built by NGUS Family from the fund by contributing calendar ever year. This Family also manage in giving stippend
to student who cannot join high school and univetsity in case of money.
