what i can suggest you is to take the jumper or the battery out..... for that you will have to go to your hardware mechanic, or if you are confident enough... try it at home itself. IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, throw that machine and buy a new comp........ na rahe baas , na baje basuri... ki kaso

Ok, so problem is regarding windows 2000, not Bios, so there is no need to reset battery etc. If you are using windows 2000 under FAT System, think your problem is sorted. Boot using Dos boot disk and go to dos prompt and Go to your windows folder, and system32 and config, normally like this C:\WINNT\system32\config, and delete sam files.
If you are using NTFS file system, be ready for more struggles. Either you download small piece of software called CIA Agent, that let you access NFTS file system so that you can delete the password file, or take your disk to another computer that is running windows 2000 making it second disk, and find sam file and delete. Once you delete sam file, you reboot computer, and when ask password, do type nothing, just hit enter.
I think Himal will tell you in detail if I am wrong.
I have recorded your IP, computer detail and ISP just in case... if i need them
