If you have heard about CA (Chartered Accountacy), then here is one more option: CIMA course(Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). Many students in Nepal may not have heard about this course.Just simply assume that CIMA is the similar course like ACCA. ACCA and CIMA differ in their course structures but basically, both lead to the same professional career.
If you go to the student forums to have a comparative study between the two,you may be little puzzled. It is because you find students supporting both the courses. It should be your decision whether to go for ACCA or CIMA.
Few important things you should know are:
*CIMA is costlier than ACCA.
*CIMA is more industry focussed than ACCA.
*CIMA is more broad, more for financial management of funds and people, than ACCA, which is more auditing and pure accounting work.
*CIMA is considered more trendy at the moment and is growing in numbers a lot quicker than ACCA.

To be honest both qualifications will help you career wise and there is a lot of cross-over between them.

What do you think guyz? Wanna make a career move??
