UNSTALLATION PROBLEM

PROBLEM:
COULD NOT UNINSTALL A SOFTWARE NAMED: LOGITECH ( IT WAS FOR THE LOGITECH MOUSEWARE) While trying to uninstall the LOGITECH MOUSEWARE from add/remove software in control panel.

OPERATIING SYSTEM:
WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL

ERROR MESSAGE:

{unable to locate the insatallation log file"C:\Program\Files\Logitech\Mouseware\Uninstall.isu"}


Please explain here the most specific reason for this problem. Thank you!

This occurs if the original installation folder was moved to another location on the hard disk or deleted.


If it is moved then try this out :-

Step 1 :- Find the new location where it was moved.

Step 2 :- Move or rename the program folder found in Step 1 back to the original installation location. The original location is stated in the error message as highlighted in the following example: "unable to locate the insatallation log file"C:\Program\Files\Logitech\Mouseware\Uninstall.isu."

Step 3 :- Reinstall the software again to the location found in Step 1.

Step 4 :- Try to uninstall again.

Himalji, the original File was probably deleted which could not be retrieved while I tried to find out its location. I was unable to find the path location because of that reason.

I think your problem will be solved if you re-install and try to remove it.

I think this is the easiest thing you can do, Windows will automatically detect location.
