Lovely you guys at least think about it......this question should be raised long time back....i am sure by now there would have been good changes.....but oh well we still got time. Anyways the idea what u got is great but sad you guys just talk...common this all should be pínned somewhere. I think i already mentioned somewhere saying the word WNSO is already losing its main aim.....just having a active forum is not the goal of it....and for that you all gotta convince people....rather then just talking. You gotta make a solid plan to present. By the way you mentioned about you guys also spend time talking about what you do with one dollar...let me tell you what......a dollar is 70 rupees may be more......with that you can make one or two kid happy even for a while....and as a reward they will smile you back. Damn having nothing or no one and needing to start from very bottom as a 5 years old kid needs to... feels really bad and may be i am talking the way i am cause right now i can put myself in their situation and i wonder as a grown up person if i need to bear so much pain how is it for kids..i dont think we can even imagine. Well lets see how it will go.....but one thing i have promised myself i am not going to die before i make this dream come true. If needed im ready to sacrifice all my personal dreams.... for a good cause...and since you know how stubborn i can be....well here i go.

Hmmm just my posting this i am getting strength.....i wonder how it would feel if we really could do something. Damn first i gotta bring myself back to life......till then common guys be active.

rs still waiting to hear.... and hope its not what i have on my mind....anyways no matter what i heartly wish you all the best....and know you have someone with whom you can talk about anything. smile.gif

All the credit goes to Rose for raising such a generous and pragmatic question to WNSO. Thanks to Admin for clarifying everything.

Regarding, RS's baseless comments, I would feel that he might have an impression of ignorance by WNSO Admin when he was unable to receive a response of his favour. He might have thought, WNSO never forget to talk about collecting the fund but sometimes do forget in answering members' queries at the stipulated time. That could be a prime reason for him to be frustrated which I guess. Any way no matter, RS is ineed a intellectual and productive member of Chautari. It happens to anyone when being in such circumstances.

Rose's expression says that WNSO is already losing it's prime and foremost motto by just being active in online forum and being inactive in other promotional activities. I fundamentally agreed with Rose that WNSO need to be active in forum but it's not a main goal of WNSO. WNSO should be active and concentrate in other promotional activities which will enable to collect much more fund and that would be utilised for good cause in the coming future. Special question to Admin, and How would you feel about it?

I should not repeat that, we all have an increased responsibility to bring WNSO in the apex of Himalayas.

Wish you guys all the best !

As far as I have seen, there is no promotional activities, who is responsibe for this? I fully support pokhrel in his query. any answers?

ok i think this is where i come in. i think i brought this idea forward quite a while back to bharat thapa...and the feedback was very positive. obviously to do this, people have to do what they have to...myself included. sadly after appraoching SO many people to join the promotional team--NO ONE seems to be interested, what can i say!!!

i thought it would be a good idea all the uk basindas go together perhaps during the yeti gatherings during the summer or dasai or new yr and all the kabis here did a recital and got a little money together and fund some specific orphanage...i don't know may be i'm being alittle over imaginative here. but sadly--like i said, no one got back to me.

and i think it's right in saying alot of it is all "big talk"--what happened to the cd idea--everyone gave their contribution towards their favourite songs, so where's the compilation??!! it's all well and good saying lets do this and lets do that, when really no one is really borthered about it at the end of the day. sorry, just stating the obvious here.

I know and it's good idea and it's all grat that you keeping on it....so is your contribution.

Considering that I am affiliated with this site not in official way shape or form, it's probably not even my place to make a post like this in yours. However, having moderated this site I think I have a unique perspective on some things. Besides, when the hell have I ever cared about what was my place and what wasn't?

I am going to say this thread "Getting Back To The Going Back", because I think that's exactly what needs to happen. I think this site needs to start getting back to the business of going back to its roots.

As everyone knows (at least everyone that's been around for a while), I was made as a moderator just recently. And i decied to be it. I don't regret that decision, and on a personal level, I am still glad that I made it. However, what I DO regret, is the evolution that the site has slowly taken since then.

Ppl don't have time...they don't want to contribute in any such way...no matter they are rocket scientist or the doctor...but ignoring because it's not going good ie a way of loser....i mean loser there is no grammetical mistake. As such, I usually do.

The question I've seen a lot of people asking, is WHY? Well, there's a lot of blame to go around I fear.

why not this?
why not that?
where is that?

Answer is where are you?

since all the the questions tend to b negative answer should not b positive.

For starters, WNSO and I did not end up on good terms after the acquisition. I tried, but honestly THAT part of the blame falls squarely on their shoulders. MY part of the blame, is that after it was all said and done, I chose to abandon the site all together, and I will no longer actively participate in discussions. I don't mean to come off egotistical

Does it make sense?

, as if I was carrying the site on my shoulders alone. However, I was the one providing direction for only since a while, and to just leave things to its own devices in a time of transition was probably not wise on my part.

People need to feel like they're part of something special again. While I think that most people would consider WNSO current condition as being "special", I don't think it's the type of "special" that we would all like to see. People get excited and contribute when there's something exiting to contribute to!
