Timeline: August 15 08 to February 15 09
TakingITGlobal is looking for motivated, creative and outgoing young people for our Community Connector team! If you're interested in youth engagement in the online environment, gaining experience in online media and working in a high-energy community, this could be your ideal placement. An internship with TIG is a great opportunity for young students to become personally involved in our international organization and to play a role in inspiring, informing and involving other young people around the world. This internship gives you a chance to affect change and get involved in your local community, strengthening youth networks and mobilizing youth to participate in their local area.
The Community Connector Internship is a six-month position, starting in mid-August 2008 and ending in mid-February 2009 for a weekly rate of 5-8 working hours. It is an unpaid Internship, but will afford the opportunity to gain valuable experience working within an international NGO, using Web 2.0 tools to engage youth, and making connections with local groups and organizations.
For more information or to receive an application package, please contact Chiara Camponeschi, Multilingual Programs Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org
PLEASE NOTE: The application forms for this position will be available in June 2008, while the actual hiring process will begin in July 2008.
