Cyprus consulate visa question and accomodation

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am Nabin again. I got accepted in FIT's MBA course. I am applying to cyprus consulate for entry visa. Please advise me what kind of questions are asked? Do I need anything other than passport, certificates, police report, financial documents and FIT's receipt of payment?

I would also need help in accomodation. I don't know anybody there and would like to share an apartment (preferably cheap one) with few Nepali friends. Please suggest.

Regarding the travel, which route is the cheapest and convenient for us from KTM?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Nabin

Hi, Nabin1. Great to hear from u. I am Sujan aka love_united, studying in Cyprus College turned European University Cyprus. I have been here for the last 3 years and going to complete my bachelor in hospitality management the next year. I will be glad to give some assistance regarding your query.

The visa application procedure for Cyprus is similar to that for any other countries. When I came, there were not any consulate service in Nepal and we were offered a temporary entry visa from the immigration in Cyprus. We had to get a residence permit ( or pink slip) after coming here. I think all those documents that you mentioned above are adequate. Just follow the instructions given by your college and the consulate office and that would be ok. There is no need to be worried about.

Moreover, about accommodation!! You will get many helpful hands once you enter Cyprus. Here are varieties of accommodation that suit your budget. Accommodation can be arranged from your college, but I don't think there are many Nepalese studying in FIT. But, you can get many residences where you can share room with other Nepalese. I could have helped you better if I had known the date and time of your arrival. Anyway, here is my cell phone number: 0035799097240. You can ring me if you need me. By the way, I am on job for the moment, which will last till the mid-october. So, I may not be able to welcome you on airport, but I will try to arrange some helping people around you.

About the cheapest route to Cyprus, I think Kathmandu-Abu Dhabi-Larnaca route is the cheapest. But I am not sure. You can analyse the price of different routes and decide yourself. Ok, let me know if there is anything else you want to know from us.

By the way, FIT is now Frederick University. This will increase the value of the degree that you will achieve from here. But I am still not sure about the future of Cyprus for international students. So, I request you to think thousand times before coming here. Ok, Best of luck.
